A court-approved settlement is paying out to people whose activity was tracked. Up to a settlement share.
This isn't a class action invitation — it's a payout. Google Assistant Privacy was sued over unlawful tracking or sharing of your activity, the parties settled, and the court has ordered payment to affected users. You file one claim form and the administrator sends you money.
Google settlement payments are variable and will not be known until after the claim deadline passes. The net settlement fund is divided proportionally based on a points system: Purchaser Settlement Class members receive 4 points per eligible Google-made device claimed, up to a maximum of 3 devices (12 points total). Privacy Settlement Class members receive 1 point. Your share is calculated based on your points relative to the total points across all valid claims. Payment will be sent by the method you choose on your claim form, including PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, ACH, or paper check. Payments will be issued only after the court grants final approval and any appeals are resolved.
