Zantac (ranitidine) NDMA cancer settlements - state court resolutions
Eligibility hint
Took Zantac or generic ranitidine regularly and were diagnosed with stomach, bladder, esophageal, liver, or pancreatic cancer
Ranitidine (brand Zantac) was removed from market in 2020 after FDA found it could form the carcinogen NDMA during storage. The federal MDL was largely dismissed in December 2022. State-court cases continued; GSK, Sanofi, Pfizer and Boehringer Ingelheim have reached confidential settlements covering tens of thousands of state cases. Stomach, bladder, esophageal, liver and pancreatic cancer diagnoses with documented Zantac use are the typical eligibility profile.
