The Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2022 created a federal cause of action for veterans, family members, and civilian workers exposed to contaminated drinking water at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987. Contaminants included TCE, PCE, benzene, and vinyl chloride. Eligible exposures (at least 30 days on base) with qualifying diagnoses include Parkinson's disease, kidney cancer, liver cancer, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemia, bladder cancer, and several others. Settlements are actively paying under the Elective Option program.
